About Dirk van Zuijlen

Dirk is the driving force and passionate strategist behind Theorio's mission. Where the traditional market saw a business model in learners failing again and again, Dirk saw a fundamental social problem. He leads the company with a firm belief: failing a theory exam should not be normal, and better education is a direct key to safer traffic and fewer accidents.

Instead of steering only toward profit margins, Dirk focuses on maximum impact and scalability. He builds bridges and creates strategic partnerships with social organizations and schools to lower the barrier to high-quality theory education for everyone. His entrepreneurial drive is powered by the mission to train a generation of aware, confident and safe drivers.

For Dirk, the vision does not stop at traffic signs and priority rules. He sees Theorio's successful learning method as a blueprint for the future of education. His ultimate goal is to translate the innovative way Theorio teaches driving theory into exam training for secondary school students and other complex studies. With Theorio, Dirk is building a universal platform that can permanently change the way we learn.

How we write and review our content

  • Every page has one author, who writes and maintains the text. The byline at the top says who.
  • A second person reviews the text against the CBR's course material and the RVV 1990 (the Dutch traffic rules and signs regulations). The byline names them under "Reviewed by".
  • When the rules or the exam change, we update the page. "Updated" is the date of the last change to the content, "Reviewed on" the date the page was last checked.
