Important Vehicle Features

Always check your tires' condition, including tire pressure and tread depth. Good tires provide better grip and safety. Minimum tread depth is 1.6 mm for regular tires and 4 mm for winter tires.

Load and Weight

With a category B license, the total weight of car plus load may not exceed 3500 kg. Load must be transported safely, not loose inside the car. Overhanging load may extend max 20 cm on the sides and 1 meter front and back.

Trailers

You may tow a trailer up to 750 kg without extra license plate; heavier trailers are allowed if total weight stays under 3500 kg. Heavier trailers have their own license plate. Load may only overhang at the back and must be marked if over 1 meter.

Bike Racks

You can safely transport bikes on a bike rack, usually mounted at the rear. Bikes must not overhang more than 20 cm on the sides and total height of car plus load must not exceed 4 meters.
