Sign F7 prohibits U-turns. You may not turn around here to drive back the other way. The prohibition runs from the sign to the next junction and says nothing about turning off or reversing.
What is not allowed here
Making a U-turn to drive back. Not in one movement, and not in several either.
Turning left or right is still allowed, unless another sign forbids it.
How to recognise the sign
F7 is round with a red border and shows a black arrow making a U-turn, with a red line through it.
Where you will see it
On busy through roads, at gaps in central reservations, and where turning around would block the traffic behind you.

The question is usually about scope: may you still turn off here? Yes, the sign only prohibits U-turns.
Difference from C2, no entry
C2 stops you entering a road. F7 lets you drive on but stops you turning around. One is about getting in, the other about direction.
