About the school

De naam van Rijschool Gijs van Wijk zegt het al: mijn naam is Gijs van Wijk. Sinds 1987 ben ik actief als rijinstructeur voor auto en motor, een vak dat ik nog altijd met veel plezier uitoefen. Ik heb elf jaar rijles gegeven in de regio Tiel en werkte daarna tien jaar bij een grote rijschool in Utrecht, waar ik leiding gaf aan de motorrijlessen. In 2008 ben ik samen met mijn vrouw Lucy gestart met onze eigen rijschool in Tiel. Lucy is sinds 2012 gediplomeerd rijinstructeur. Samen hebben wij aanvullende cursussen gevolgd, onder andere op het gebied van faalangst, ADHD en rijangst. Bij Rijschool Gijs van Wijk staan persoonlijke aandacht, geduld, eerlijkheid en kwaliteit centraal. We zorgen voor een ontspannen sfeer, met duidelijke uitleg en een passende dosis humor — zodat jij met vertrouwen je rijbewijs kunt halen. Met ruim 35 jaar ervaring geef ik rijles met aandacht en plezier. Ik heb elf jaar lesgegeven in de regio Tiel en daarna tien jaar bij een grote rijschool in Utrecht, waar ik verantwoordelijk was voor de motorrijlessen. In 2008 ben ik gestart met mijn eigen rijschool, samen met mijn vrouw Lucy. Wij rijden in comfortabele en veilige lesauto’s: een Volkswagen T-Roc en een Citroën C5 Hybrid automaat. Beide zijn uitgerust met moderne veiligheidssystemen en bieden een prettige leeromgeving.
