About the school

Sinds 1970 Rijschool Oegema verzorgt al 56 jaar rijopleidingen en is een echt familiebedrijf. Ruim 56 jaar geleden startte Simon Oegema met de rijschool en vanaf het allereerste uur is de rijschool zijn grote passie geworden. In de beginperiode gaf Simon alleen in de avonduren en op de zaterdagen les. Naast de rijschool werkte hij toen bij de RZB in Ochten. Al snel moest hij zijn baan bij de RZB opgeven, omdat hij zijn leerlingen anders niet kwijt kon. Op een gegeven moment werd het zo druk dat Simon zijn vrouw, Mientje, vroeg of zij geen interesse had om de opleiding tot rij-instructrice te gaan volgen. Zo kwam Mientje in 1980 bij de rijschool en heeft zij met veel plezier tot 2003 rijles gegeven. Toetreding kinderen In 1995 is de dochter van Simon en Mientje, Léoni, tot de rijschool toegetreden. Léoni heeft eerst haar opleiding bij Schoevers afgerond en is vervolgens met de instructeursopleiding begonnen. Inmiddels geeft de man van Léoni, Johan de Koning, ook al jaren rijles. De vraag naar rijlessen bleef in al die jaren gestaag groeien en daarom vroeg Simon in 1997 aan zijn zoon, Arjan, of hij ook geen interesse had om rij-instructeur te worden. Arjan heeft vervolgens les gegeven tot januari 2022 voor de categorie auto (B), motor (A) en bromfiets (AM2). Hij geeft inmiddels geen rijles meer. Van 1999 t/m 2018 heeft zoon Rick gelest voor de rijschool. Simon met pensioenIn 2020 is de oprichter van de rijschool Simon Oegema gestopt met het geven van rijles. Na 50 jaar rijles vond hij het mooi geweest en dus kan hij nu van z'n pensioen gaan genieten. Betrokkenheid Men kan dus echt spreken van een familierijschool. Er wordt daarom ook heel wat overlegd. Men houdt elkaar van elk vaknieuwtje op de hoogte en de vraag hoe zo snel mogelijk tot de beste resultaten kan worden gekomen komt vaak aan de orde. Kortom een uitstekende communicatie, waar de kandidaat veel baat bij heeft.
