About the school

Autorijden moet voor iedereen een plezier zijn. Vanuit die gedachte werkt ESAR autorijschool. Al meer dan 50 jaar leidt ESAR autorijschool leerlingen op tot verantwoorde en besluitvaardige bestuurders. Bij ESAR autorijschool is de verzekering in orde. Wij hebben alle risico’s afgedekt, voor jou en voor onszelf. In 1955 richtten Jos de Groot en zijn vrouw Mina van Bennekom autorijschool ESAR op. ESAR staat voor Eerste Schelluinse Auto Rijschool. Samen met zijn vrouw maakte Jos dit bedrijf tot een succes. Jos had dankzij zijn carrière als buschauffeur veel bekendheid gekregen in de omgeving van Gorinchem. Dit leverde hen veel klanten op. Toen kostte een rijles 2 gulden en 50 cent per uur. Het bedrijf groeide snel. Om versterking te bieden, richtte zoon Jan in 1970 Rijschool de Groot op. Dit werd een groot succes. Later verkocht Jan de Groot zijn rijschool. Inmiddels heeft Jan de Groot ESAR autorijschool vele jaren geleden weer nieuw leven ingeblazen. Deze rijschool biedt rijke herinneringen aan de bewoners van Gorinchem en omstreken. Veel mensen hebben met succes hun rijbewijs gehaald bij ESAR autorijschool!
