About the school

Welkom op de website van autorijschool N. van Rees.Bij ons draait het sinds 1986 om meer dan alleen autorijden: wij zorgen ervoor dat jij met zelfvertrouwen én plezier de weg op gaat. Met jarenlange ervaring en een persoonlijke aanpak stemmen we onze lessen precies af op wat jij nodig hebt. We begrijpen dat iedereen anders leert, en daarom zorgen we ervoor dat jij op jouw tempo, met duidelijke uitleg en handige tips, je rijbewijs haalt. Daarnaast hebben wij veel ervaring met lesgeven bij faalangst, ADHD of autisme. In 1955 startte Piet van Rees (1929-2023) in Molenaarsgraaf een autorijschool. Eerst nog voor halve dagen maar al gauw hield hij zijn werk als monteur bij busmaatschappij de Twee Provinciën in Sliedrecht voor gezien. De eerste leswagen was een Volkswagen Kever zonder hulpbediening. deze werd in 1956 vervangen door één met dubbele bediening. De oude Kever ging in de verhuur waarmee een tweede tak aan het bedrijf werd toegevoegd. Voor de huisvesting van de auto’s ging Van Rees samenwerking aan met zijn buren Jasper en Teuna den Adel die later ook taxi voor hem reed. Eerst diende aan de Dorpsstraat een oude kippenschuur als stalling, begin jaren zestig vervangen door een stenen loods. Hierin vonden ook de inmiddels aangekochte taxi’s een plek. De kern van de bedrijfsvoering lag vrijwel geheel bij de familie Den Adel. Door de kapperszaak was telefonische bereikbaarheid gegarandeerd en in de winkel gaf Van Rees tot 1964 de theorielessen. Het bleek zelfs mogelijk om in 1966 een vergunning te krijgen voor de aanleg van een eigen benzinepomp en LPG-installatie. Door de toenemende welvaart en mobiliteit groeide ook de rijschool. Na een deeltijdverbintenis kwam begin 1962 Jaap Stolk volledig in dienst, in 1966 gevolgd door zijn broer Kees en daarna nog een vierde instructeur. Naast de opleiding voor het personenrijbewijs was het ook mogelijk rijlessen voor motor en vrachtwagen te volgen. Jaap Stolk specialiseerde zich in het lessen met de vrachtwagen en aanvullende diploma-eisen zoals gevaarlijke stoffen. Door de uitbreiding van activiteiten verhuisde de theorielessen naar de bovenzaal van het oude gemeentehuis en na 1979 naar gebouw De Schommel. In…
