Closed to agricultural/forestry tractors, speed-restricted vehicles and mobile machinery.

Closed to agricultural/forestry tractors, speed-restricted vehicles and mobile machinery. Agricultural and forestry tractors, limited-speed motor vehicles and mobile machinery may not use this road.

How to recognise the sign

A circular red-bordered sign; read its symbol, text or number for the precise restriction.

Supplementary panel and application

Read a supplementary panel as part of the closure. “Uitgezonderd” (except) with a symbol indicates an exemption; a symbol alone can instead limit application to that group.

Difference from C9 — No slow traffic

C8: Closed to agricultural/forestry tractors, speed-restricted vehicles and mobile machinery. C9: Closed to riders, cattle, carts, (moped) bicycles and slow-moving vehicles. Read the separate application of C9 too; similar appearance does not mean identical meaning.

C9 — No slow traffic

Practise this sign for your theory exam

No tractors belongs to the Prohibition category. In the CBR theory exam a traffic sign is almost never asked on its own: you are shown a situation and have to know what you may or must do in it. In the free sign trainer you practise the signs by category, with the explanation shown right after every answer.
