About New Drivers

CBR’s figures for New Drivers cover 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026. They show 32 first practical tests for a car licence, with 19 passes and 13 failures. That gives a pass rate of 59.4%. The national average for the same type of test and dates was 48.8%, based on 203,403 first tests. The school is 10.6 percentage points above the national rate.

Comparing the same test centres

How does the school compare at the same centres? Across 1 test centre, the combined pass rate for other schools is 48.9%. Centres where this school had more tests carry more weight. Its own rate is 59.4%, 10.5 percentage points above this rate. We use 32 of the school’s 32 first tests and 3,471 tests from other schools. We leave out the school’s own CBR code and known related codes when calculating the other schools’ rate. We compare the same type of test over the same dates. A difference does not prove better or worse teaching.

Car tests

The numbers of manual and automatic tests differ. There were 15 passes from 21 manual tests (71.4%). That group makes up 65.6% of 32 first car tests. For automatics, 4 of 11 tests were passes (36.4%), with a share of 34.4%. One different result would change the manual rate by 4.8 percentage points and the automatic rate by 9.1 percentage points. A rate based on few tests tells you less. These are past tests; they do not confirm which lessons you can take now.

Lesson prices and packages

A single driving lesson (manual or automatic not stated) of 60 minutes is listed at €70.00. That works out at €70.00 per 60 minutes. This price appeared on the website on 5 September 2026. For a driving lesson (manual or automatic not stated), the website listed a lesson package from €700.00. This price is from 5 September 2026. Check the current price and what is in the package. Read the conditions before you book.

Lessons on the school’s website

On its own website, the school advertises car lessons. The website also lists automatic car lessons.
