Test figures for CBR Hoorn

From 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026, CBR counted 3,643 first tests for a car licence (B) at Hoorn, from 130 school registrations. There were 1,883 passes and 1,760 failures. The pass rate was 51.7%.

Which towns are the schools in?

The largest groups of first tests belong to schools in Hoorn (602), Wognum (534), and Zwaag (420). We know 51 school towns, covering 3,630 of 3,643 tests. The town is missing for 13 tests. This does not show where learners live.

Which schools shape the average?

Of 3,643 first tests, 844 came from the 3 busiest school registrations (23.2%). Schools with more tests therefore shape more of the average.

Why the centre average is only part of the picture

35 school registrations each had at least 30 first tests here, covering 2,742 tests. The middle half of their pass rates falls roughly between 38.1% and 61.7%. Look at a school’s own test counts and results as well as the centre.

First tests and retests

The file also lists 3,278 retests, with 1,615 passes and 1,663 failures: 49.3%. Of all 6,921 tests, 47.4% were retests. They stay outside the ranking and first-test rate. The groups differ, so this does not predict your result on another attempt.

Compared with the national figures

CBR counted 203,403 first tests of this type nationwide over these dates. The pass rate was 48.8%. Here the rate is 2.9 percentage points above the national rate. Different groups of schools and candidates mean this does not establish whether the test is easier or harder here.

CBR describes a 55-minute car test, with about 35 minutes of driving. The examiner checks your identity document, theory test validity and completed self-reflection form. Check beforehand what you need for your own situation.

What does the examiner check?

CBR checks observation, car control and giving way, among other skills. Ask your instructor what you still need to practise. The CBR page has tips and videos about common mistakes. These are general tips; the results do not show mistakes or fixed routes for this centre.

Ask the school how your instructor tracks your progress and works with you to decide when you are ready for the test.
